Why is analyze this rated r

The film is best for mature older teens to adults because of its strong language, suggestive sexual situations and adult themes that kids and younger teens might not understand. Teens who are fans of Kudrow will want to see it, but her screen time is limited and there's too much adult material here for them anyway.

There is some violence, including several shootings; although the movie plays over-the-top and doesn't let the gangster theme get too serious, it's still not a spoof. When a mysterious hunting accident occurs, Wade is suspicious of friends and business contacts. At the same time he's trying to solve the crime, he's also plotting to marry his girlfriend, gain custody of his estranged daughter and attempt to rebuild his relationship with his dad.

This is a depressing story about the far-reaching effects of parental abuse. In addition to abusive behavior, adult language and violence make it inappropriate for teens or younger children. This drama starring Val Kilmer and Mira Sorvino might appeal to young dating audiences, but its leisurely pace and predictability will test their endurance.

A somewhat gratuitous sexual scene will make this film inappropriate for immature viewers. Ronni, age I enjoyed this movie on an entertainment basis more than the reviewer. I thought Analyze This pulled this off very well with a lot of laughs and wit.

However, I agree strongly with the offensiveness rating. This movie is foul. Todd Adams, age Christian values are most certainly not exemplified… This is not a must see but if you must see it just go with the usually Hollywood guard up.
