Why iphone is better than galaxy s4

In the future we expect it to be able to route you through to different user profiles. But at present it just unlocks the phone. It scans for faces using the front camera. The Galaxy S4 has a fairly good front camera, meaning it can find faces fairly reliably, but the phone can easily be unlocked using a photo of the owner, or by someone that looks similar. Face Unlock judges who a person is based on their facial geometry — primarily the positioning of their eyes and mouth.

You even have to correctly position your face for it to work. The Samsung Galaxy S4 actually has higher pixel density despite using a much larger display. It has a 5-inch p-resolution screen. In actual use, we find the larger screen of the Galaxy S4 much better for watching movies and TV episodes on than an iPhone 5S-size screen.

The screen technologies these phones use are completely differnet. Top brightness is a bit better in the iPhone 5S, but contrast and black depth are better in the Galaxy S4. It has a much brighter screen than the relatively dim Galaxy S3. Both of these are high-quality displays that are hard to fault technically — AMOLEDs tend to oversaturate colours, but the Galaxy S4 packs in colour temperature customisation options to help you fix this. As these are such fantastic performers all-round, the main thing to consider is whether you really want a giant screen, or would prefer a smaller, more pocket-friendly mobile.

The Samsung and Apple appropaches to storage are pretty different. Samsung always tries to make it easy to let you add extra storage, by including a memory card slot.

The 16GB edition is by far the most common. Apple has never included ways to increase storage in its mobile devices with a memory card slot. The iPhone 5S was the first device to launch with iOS 7, arguably the biggest change in the iOS platform since the system was launched in Jonny Ive was the man behind the re-vamp — he was part of the team that designed the iPod, the iMac, the iPhone and more.

At the other end of the ring, the Galaxy S4 uses Android 4. Their visual styles are quite different. It cares much more about adding features. TouchWiz adds a crazy amount of features to Android — some of which have encouraged Google to add features to Android itself in the past. Good additions include gesture typing, a power management mode, enhanced notifications bar and sine decent custom widgets.

Water-resistant devices can resist the penetration of water, such as powerful water jets, but not being submerged into water.

We consider a lower weight better because lighter devices are more comfortable to carry. A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products.

We consider a thinner chassis better because it makes the product more compact and portable. Thinness is a feature highlighted by many manufacturers of mobile devices, but it is essential for a wide range of products.

The width represents the horizontal dimension of the product. We consider a smaller width better because it assures easy maneuverability. The height represents the vertical dimension of the product. We consider a smaller height better because it assures easy maneuverability. Volume is the quantity of three-dimensional space enclosed by the product's chassis or, in simpler terms, the space the product occupies.

Text messaging is much faster due to a hardware keyboard. Display 1. Pixel density is a measurement of a screen's resolution, expressed as the number of pixels per inch PPI on the screen.

A higher pixel density translates into more clarity and sharpness for the images rendered on the screen, thus improving the quality of the viewing experience. Resolution is an essential indicator of a screen's image quality, representing the maximum amount of pixels that can be shown on the screen. The resolution is given as a compound value, comprised of horizontal and vertical pixels.

The bigger the screen size is, the better the user experience. Damage-resistant glass such as Corning Gorilla Glass or Asahi Dragontrail Glass is thin, lightweight, and can withstand high levels of force. It was designed to overcome the main limitations of conventional twisted nematic TFT displays: limited viewing angles and low-quality color reproduction.

They have higher contrast ratios and wider viewing angles compared to LCDs. More memory allows you to store more songs, videos, photos and install more applications.

If you have perfect vision and take a real look at the older S3 screen, you'll notice that while displaying computer generated graphics, you'll actually see the pixels, despite this screen having higher resolution than the iPhone looking at the specs. That you'll never see the pixels on the iPhone screen.

The S4 screen has higher resolution, but it's still only on par with the iPhone, not sharper. In reality that is.. This is something you'll notice for real while out in normal sunlight. At full brightness is draws a lot more power than the iPhone screen as well. I have both Galaxy and iphone for work, the iphone is more difficult to navigate, it generally takes a better picture but looking at the above I noted the excess of red in the indoor pics, the iphones tend to last longer before needing recharging, I don't think the iphone is better and the restricted OS is annoying.

Chris Goodwin October 8, AM. I find the picture comparisons unconvincing. Yes, the iPic is slightly warmer, or richer in tone - but is this a more accurate colouring than the Galaxy? There should be a third picture, taken with the very best camera available not a smart phone camera so that we could have a "truer"? And then, and then, the magnificationS. The iPics are slightly more distant, revealing more background: and hence needing more magnification to show the close ups.

So is their detail quality worse? If the degree of blow up is not the same, then the comparison is unfair.
